Los Angeles-based dance-theater group, Arianne MacBean & The Big Show Co., present two signature works at an exclusive REDCAT Showcase. Described as, "provocative and deftly physical" by The Los Angeles Times, MacBean creates work that highlights the triumphs and failings of language - the language of the body and of text. Playful, enigmatic and engaging, The Big Show Co. presents The People Go Where The Chairs Are (2012) and the world premiere of a new work, present tense – both with mesmerizing, original jazz music scores by Composer Ivan Johnson. Between the performances, an Artist Talk with MacBean & Shayna Keller, Executive Director of the Dance Resource Center of Greater Los Angeles will take place.
